James Bay "Hold Back The River" / by Shawn Parrotte

James Bay's "Hold Back The River is a great example of how you can make some very nice guitar lines by playing the outside of your barre chords. These intervals, called "tenths' have a very sweet and beautiful sound. Experiment a little bit with them yourself. Ed Sheeran uses them a lot too. In this guitar lesson I'll show you how to play these intervals in the main guitar riff and I'll also show you the chords you need for the other parts. This is a great tune and I hope you enjoy this lesson!
